Tennis elbow is a common multiple painful syndrome about the elbow. Conservative treatment commonly make satisfactory result, but recurrence rate is relatively high(about 109/6). But in many cases,. they need long term therapy and have high recurrence rate because abscence of patient education and therapeutic exercise. According to the method of treatment patients were divided into four groups: group A(treated with NSAID po medication or physical therapy), group B (NSAID po medication and physical therapy), group C(steroid local injection with or without other therapy), group D(patient education and therapeutic exercise with other therapy). The peak incidence age of patients was 30-50 years and mean age was 43 years. All most of these patients had an occupation that require repeatly rotatory movement of forearm and not related to racket sports. There were no statistically significant difference in the result of treatment between each groups. There were statistically significant difference in the recurrence rate between group D and group A, B and C. In this study, we found that tennis elbow is one of the overuse syndromes related to occupations. Conservative treatment usually make satisfactory result, but patient education and therapeutic exercise are critical factors for prevention of recurrence.
